The house is built on a large dune on the beachfront of the South Coast and offers panoramic views from every angle. It is fully equipped with decks and balconies to make sightseeing more accessible. Sights include whale watching in winter months, the Outeniqua Mountains, vast Wilderness lakes and the beachfront. At night Mosselbay's city lights can be clearly seen. It is not only the sights, but also the smell and sound of the sea which makes the experience all the more special. Wilderness also has extremely clear skies and is accordingly perfect for stargazing. The villa is also built in the midst of Melkhout trees which is a protected tree species. Emphasis was placed on the preservation of these trees during the erection of the building because it forms the habitat of several bird and mammal species, including the well renowned Knysna Loerie and small "dyke".
